Mobile, Alabama On Street Parking

Parking in downtown Mobile just got easier. Republic Parking System, in partnership with the City of Mobile, has implementing a state-of- the- art parking system in downtown.

Beginning in February over 400 new meters are being installed, offering additional payment options using advanced parking technology. The meters will accept coins, credit cards, and pay-by-phone technology through the Park Mobile parking app. Simply download the Park Mobile parking app and add time to the meter remotely.

It’s easy to get started and can be done with just a couple clicks on your smart phone.
We are working to give our customers the best parking experience possible.

This website includes maps, rates, and answers to frequently asked parking questions. Along with the new meters, new signs and line striping will follow along with new, designated long-term parking zones for restaurant and hospitality workers.

We will provide visitors with access to the most convenient parking spaces at Mobile’s favorite downtown restaurants and shops.

On Street Parking Information

ENFORCEMENT HOURS

8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Monday - Friday

The controlled parking zones are enforced during these hours.  Parking in an unlawful area or manner (bus or loading zones, yellow curb, no parking, handicap space, etc.) is enforceable 24 hours / 7 days a week.

Luke Meter Payment Instructions

Please note your license plate number as you exit your vehicle after parking.  You can pay by phone or at the pay station.  The Luke pay station is easy to use.  At the station, simply type in your license plate number, select the time for your parking duration, and pay either with, cash, coin, or credit card.  You can print a receipt if you like.

Pay by Cell Phone

Cell Phone App provided by ParkMobile

To pay by phone, simply download the ParkMobile app, select the meter number/location “Zone 1234”.  Enter your license plate number, select the duration desired, and enter your credit card information or select the preferred card if you’ve already used the app before.  A receipt will be emailed to you if you want.

If you want to appeal a parking violation, you can do so online at parkmobile2pay.com and give your citation number and an explanation for why you want the citation voided. You will be contacted by email soon with a decision on your appeal.

Meter Bagging

Special Events, Office Relocation, Construction?

If you have a special event and require use of one or more parking meters without a time limit, you can contact the City of Mobile Parking Office at 251-438-9132 or in-person at 300 Dauphin Street in downtown Mobile near Cathedral Square. The cost is $10.00 a day per meter and the parking staff will install and remove the bag for you.

Hospitality Zone

Waiters, Bar Tenders, Service Staff

If you are a hospitality worker in Downtown Mobile you can get discounted Reserved Parking in our new Hospitality Zone. Simply provide proof of employment to Parking Office on 300 Dauphin Street. Permit is $25.00/month, cash, check, or credit.
Office hours M-F 8am-6pm.
